About Trotters: From its very beginning in 1935, Trotters has been dedicated to creating high-quality women's footwear with appealing looks and exceptional comfort. Our first shoes were moccasins made by Native American craftspeople in Old Town, Maine, where the company was founded. The unique comfort of Trotters begins with our careful choice of materials: the softest leathers, high-tech cushioning and flexible soles. And unlike many companies, we develop a separate last (the form around which the leather is shaped) for each size and width. So every pair feels like it was made just for you.

"Good Looking and Comfortable Too!I know Trotters are well-made, but I have never tried this style of shoe, which is very popular at the moment. They look very classy on, and are true to size and width. They are also very comfortable. Since I have "problem" feet and find it difficult to find any shoe that I can wear all day to work, I was pleasantly surprised by these.I can even insert a light commercial prosthetic and find that the shoe accommodates itself to it. All in all, a very good find."

"Trotters Ash - Never having bought shoes or very little other apparel on the web, I was worried that I might not be satisfied. Because of the free shipping, free return policy that Zappos has, I decided to take a chance. Trotter shoes I knew to be good, the picture of the shoe, especially the enlargement, showed it to be the style I wanted. My worry was that it wouldn't fit, but it did. I think they will be very comfortable (I bought two pairs, one in black and one in brown ). Thank you, Zappos."

"Trotters review - I tried this shoe in two sizes--and found that one was too small and the next size too big. (My usual size was very tight and uncomfortable, so I went up a size with the second try. Additionally, I found that there was a "rubbing" area in the side of the toe by my small toe. This might have been a function of my own particular anatomy, not the shoe. Do appreciate the great service from Zappos and have actually recommended Zappos to a couple of other folks since I "discovered" them."

"Finally - Wow! A stylish pump in a wide width that doesn't look like my grandmother's shoes! The classic style of this pump looks great with both skirts and slacks. The heel is the perfect height. The footbed is amply padded and very comfortable for standing and walking. Only one minor complaint in that the back of the shoe is quite stiff around the heel, though I think this will loosen up with only minimal wear."

"Very comfortable dress shoe. I was pleasantly surprised because I've resigned myself to the fact that a dress shoe is something to be tolerated for a few hours and then tossed off as soon as I enter my home. Not with this shoe. I will try the Trotter brand again."

"More stylish on the foot than it looks--and comfy!I have VERY difficult feet to fit--7 1/2-8 extrawide with a very high instep. I purchased this shoe out of desperation, since it has elastic criss-cross bands that might accommodate my high instep. While it looks rather dowdy, it is MUCH prettier on the foot. I wore it, and danced for hours, at my daughter's wedding and my feet never hurt! For those with very wide feet, it is cut generously, so it's extra comfortable."
