La Sportiva Venture Mid XCR "Five stars fur ‘shur’- I bought these shoes first because of the looks. Next because of the maker, and then because of my need for an outdoor shoe that could multi-task. Bought them without the insight of previous reviews but must say these shoes are wonderful. I've not tested them hiking, roughing it as it were. I do know from wearing in an urban environment that I should expect the same comfort, and I hope, reliability. Plan to put hem to the test next week at the Buttes near Sierraville Ca. I'm just a regular guy getting outdoors when my schedule allows these shoe should work very well in my situation. Thanks too for the upgraded shipping, ask yourself, “Who does that?” All was GOOD"La Sportiva Venture XCR Women's "So far so good.I have yet to have the time to take these shoes out for any serious tromping/hiking, but I have worn them for a day at work and some casual sidewalk walking. They needed no breaking in -- very comfortable right out of the box. My only question is about the sizing -- an 8 feels just a hair too big, but the next size down was definitely too small. With thicker hiking socks they should be fine. A couple people complimented me on them the first day I wore them -- they're rugged without looking too "clompy." Someone even told me they are "cute," but that's probably asking too much from a hiking shoe."La Sportiva Venture Mid XCR "Got a winner - I bought these shoes with no previous reviews, am glad to say I could'nt be HAPPIER. The fit was right on, the width was good, I've not worn them on the trail but know from the daily walk around--these boots will work! The look was one of practicality and style, I also appreciate the upgraded shipping I've recieved from Zappos. Their customer service should serve as a model for other on-line providers. I think I'm in love...."La Sportiva Exum Ridge Women's "Hiking extreme - I purchased these to fit me through the Grand Canyon. They did more than I had originally expected before I bought them. They wear well up and grip the mountains so that I don't have to be fearful of falling or slipping. Overall I can say that these have been the best in comfort and maneuverability by a long shot. Thanks- La Sportiva!!"La Sportiva Colorado Trail AT "Excellent shoe. Order up a size!!!!This shoe is excellent. Supportive for those who like to take the hiking trails for a run. The treads are super grippy for those rocks. I would not reccomend this to people with wider feet. I have narrow feet and this thing fits very snug. Also I am a 10.5 normally recieved these and they were a full size too small! Go with the UK sizing on this one."La Sportiva K4 S "Perfect climbing boots for mixed terrain - I tested my new K4s at Mt. Shasta just a few days ago. Pluses and minuses:1) The boots are very warm, in fact a bit too warm in summer conditions. But, I would still wear overboots during winter expeditions. 2) Very stiff boots. I had a long approach to the climb (2.5 hrs) and suffered a lot from the blisters in my heels. I was silly not protecting my heels with moleskin. My advice--do not wear these boots on a long hike. They have the hardest heels. Wear extra-socks and moleskin!!!3) Climbing: Perfect. All my pain in heels was gone. Performed well on soft snow (30-50degr) and on moderate ice with crampons. Very rigid boots.4) Fabric: All very good and solid. My only concern is the part of the boot sewed with a regular nylon (?) threads. I am worrying about walking on rocky terrain, which may eventually wear off this part of the boot. Next time, I will wear gaiters even during an approach phase.5) Very light boots."La Sportiva Glacier "Comfortable foot armor - Comfortable to hike or backpack in, ascending or descending. Very comfortable scrambling along rocks & boulders.Good fit, has half-sizes--no blisters, so no need for "break-in" period.Waterproof like GoreTex (GTX), but without the GTX associated heat buildup--Wish they had leather liners & had Norwegian stitch.Comfortable foot armor. Awesome."La Sportiva Mythos Women's "The shoes completely fit the description. They are very comfortable compared to other climbing shoes. You can adjust the shoe to the shape of your foot, which is great. Honestly, if you are looking for good climbing shoes, get these or FIVEtEN Anasazi."Read More Reviews Here
