About Frye: Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operating shoe company in the United States. Throughout Frye's illustrious history, the shoes have been worn by such dignitaries as Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders, adventurous pioneers traveling West in the mid and late 1800's and even General Patton. Frye remains dedicated to the commitment of craftsmanship for which Frye has been known for more than 100 Years.

"Frye Mule - Great looking shoe: true to size, rugged, comfortable. If you accidentally scratch the leather, just rub it with your finger and the scratch disappears. Love it!"

Frye Valley Slide Woven Thong

"What was Frye thinking about?!I expected these thongs to be really comfortable and the footbed is shaped very nicely, but the thin leather thong digs in between your toes and the rough woven upper part rubbed the skin off spots on both my second toes after a few blocks of walking. (Good thing I happened to be walking near a drugstore where I stopped to buy bandaids.) I still wear protective bandaids to prevent this from happening again, which is a real inconvenience for this pricey a sandal. The shoes are very slippery inside and out even after breaking them in and I had rubber soles put on the heel (another ten bucks on top of the already expensive cost.) Frye needs to go back to the drawing board on this one."

"Country/Biker Cool - These boots look awesome and the quality is excellent. My only gripe is that they tend to run a little big, and even in a size that fits overall, the heel still slides. I have found this to be the case w/ all the Frye's I've tried. But they look great and are very sturdy."

"Nice Boots - As expected, these are really nice boots for the price. Very well constructed and nothing cheap about these boots at all! Very classy and look good with skirts or jeans. Run a little larger--get a half size smaller unless you have exceptionally wide feet. Like all quality leather they will take time to break in and get soft but they don't rub even when new. Highly recommend. "

"AWESOME!This boot looks so sexy but when I first saw it I was not sure it would go on my foot because it didn't have a Zipper. Sure enough it did! And better yet it feels good with it on!!Zappos you guys rock! I ordered it yesterday and here it is today. I made a special request about wanting it bad today (riding on the motorcycle tomorrow morning to New Hope, PA) & you folks did just as you promised.I will spread the word and plan on being a loyal customer (this is my second purchase). KEEP UP THE FANTASTIC WORK ZAPPOS!"

"A great boot from a great web store - Fantastic service and price from Zappos. I needed a comfortable motorcylce riding boot with a little higher than normal heel...and they had the boot...Frye's Campus...the only recommendation I would have to improve the boot... is to have an a rubber sole. Other than that, you can't go wrong with this boot for looks, comfort and value."
