"Worth the investment for your feet!Well, I just threw away my husbands first pair of Ecco's. They were purchased 6 years ago! He is rough on shoes. The soles looked like they were melted off a couple of layers and the threads through the leather were disintegrating. I don't know if they are repairable, we plan to just buy another pair this time. He did wear some other $100 shoe for a year and they did not last nearly as long and weren't as comfortable. It is worth the investment if you are standing on your feet all day on cement surfaces. Near the end, he even began wearing them for mowing the lawn because he likes walking in them sooo much."

"Too Short - I have Morton's Neuromas & need wider, padded shoes. Ecco would probably be the answer, but they are definitely shorter in length. The 42 is NOT a size 11, more like a 10. Do not buy any Ecco if you are a size 11! Also, these shoes are adjustable for width, but the beige come with black velcro, so even the smallest adjustment to a wider shoe shows ugly black velcro- very disconcerting. Also, has odd, two-tone sole."

The only negative I would say is that it didn't have as much shock absorption as I would have liked for walking (compared to a Clarks shoe) so after several hours my knees began to hurt, but other than that, definitely worth it!"
