"Most Comfortable Shoes - As another reviewer with problem feet, I agree that these are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. The only problem is the odor, which I've concluded comes after the shoes get wet, not simple foot odor or sweat. After owning several pairs, I've noticed the smell appears and you can't get rid of it once the shoes have gotten wet. My first pair wore out without developing the odor. My second pair got soaked soon after I purchased them and they immediately smelled bad... My third pair was nice until my son spilled a big glass of water on one of them at the pool, and now that one shoe smells. To me the comfort is so great, it's worth buying new shoes. Zappos makes that easy! A tip for those with high arches. I build up the arch exactly where I need it with moleskin you can buy in the foot department at any drug store. It's got a strong adhesive on one side and can be cut to the right shape to fit any shoe or sandals. Even with the Ecco sandals, I need a little extra arch on the right shoe. You might need to experiment a little, but if you have high arches, you probably know exactly where you need help, support, comfort. A shoe salesman saw my homemade solution and told me shoemakers call this a "cookie.""

"Snug fit with great support.When I received these shoes, I put them on and immediatley started walking outside. The sole provides great traction and is rather stiff to support the foot on rugged terrain. The shoe is high enough to support the ankle. The fit is snug helping to keep water out of the shoe. I was surprised that there isn't much break-in time needed. Overall, I am just as happy with these Eccos as I am with my other pairs."

My only complaint is that I probably should have gone with this shoe with ankle support...the laces get loose and your ankle doesn't get the right support, otherwise great shoe!!!"

"Ecco Receptor's Inca - Very comfortable shoes and I have "tender" feet. I took two pairs of Tevas on a recent trip to Italy and will take these Ecco Receptors on my next trip. I just spent the whole day at the mall in these shoes on those hard floors and my feet do not hurt at all. They are slightly wide for me but I can cinch them tight and if my feet swell, let them out a little bit. I would buy these again."
