"Still a classic - I have been wearing Dr. Martens Boot for about 12 years. I got my first pair when grunge was the newest thing. I guess I have sort of turned into one of those guys that got stuck in his highschool days because I've been wearing them ever since. I have had many pairs. Good ones and ones that wore out too quickly. I don't really mind the fact that they are no longer made in England, because they seem to be exactly the same. This latest pair has been just as rough to break in as any before and I am hopeful that once they are broken in they will be just as comfortable. Zappos has a great selection and I scored free shipping."

"Great shoes!First, I'm so happy that Dr. Martens is making some of their womens' shoes in larger sizes. I'm an 11, and I usually have to wear the mens' shoes. These shoes were also much more comfortable than some other DM's I've owned, partly because the leather is, as they say, softer, but also because the ankle doesn't seem to come up so far. Usually the leather under my ankle bone comes up too far and digs into my ankle, and these don't do that. These shoes seemed to be sized very accurately, and are a really cool dark, plummy brown colour that looks great with black as well as brown!"
