"Durable, good looking, comfortable = worth the money - Old joke reworked here--what's the differnece between love and Allen-Edmond shoes? The shoes last forever.Or at least it seems to me. After 15 years and about 10 pair of A-E, here's the deal. I still have every pair of the shoes. And they all are still comfortable and look great.When the shoes get beat, as all shoes will, you simply bundle them up in a pre-addressed bag, ship them off to the factory, and in about two weeks, back come the shoes, rebuilt to look, feel, and act like new. I do that every time they need soles, which is about every three years or so.Some models I've owned (primarily the slip-ons, I think, because they need to fit closer to the foot to stay in place) have taken a bit of break-in (almost unheard of in these days of disposable sneakers), but so what. Once they've conformed to your feet, you'll not want to own another brand of dressy shoe."
